Improving the quality of the industrial enterprise management based on the network-centric approach

The article examines the network-centric approach to the industrial enterprise management to improve the ef ciency and effectiveness in the implementation of production plans and maximize responsiveness to customers. A network-centric management means the decentralized enterprise group management. A group means a set of enterprise divisions, which should solve by joint efforts a certain case that occurs in the production process. The network-centric management involves more delegation of authority to the lower elements of the enterprise’s organizational structure. The industrial enterprise is considered as a large complex system (production system) functioning and controlled amidst various types of uncertainty: information support uncertainty and goal uncertainty or multicriteria uncertainty. The information support uncertainty occurs because the complex system functioning always takes place in the context of incomplete and fuzzy information. Goal uncertainty or multicriteria uncertainty caused by a great number of goalsestablished for the production system. The network-centric management task de nition by the production system is formulated. The authors offer a mathematical model for optimal planning of consumers’ orders production with the participation of the main enterprise divisions. The methods of formalization of various types of uncertainty in production planning tasks are considered on the basis of the application of the fuzzy sets theory. An enterprise command center is offered as an effective tool for making management decisions by divisions. The article demonstrates that decentralized group management methods can improve the ef ciency and effectiveness of the implementation of production plans through the self-organization mechanisms of enterprise divisions. The work has been prepared with the financial support from the Russian Ministry of Education and Science (Contract No. 02.G25.31.0068 of 23.05.2013 as part of the measure to implement Decision of the Russian Government No. 218)

Basic magnetic properties of magnetoactive elastomers of mixed content

The results of theoretical and experimental investigations of the polymer composites that belong to a class of magnetoactive elastomers with mixed magnetic content (MAEs-MC) are presented. The fundamental distinction of such composites from ordinary magnetoactive elastomers is that the magnetic filler of MAEs-MC comprises both magnetically soft (MS) particles of size 3–5 µm and magnetically hard (MH) particles whose size is an order of magnitude greater. Since MH particles of the magnetic filler are mixed into a composition in a non-magnetised state, this can ensure preparation of samples with fairly homogeneous distribution of the filler. The 'initiation' process of a synthesised MAE-MC is done by its magnetisation in a strong magnetic field that imparts to the sample unique magnetic and mechanical properties. In this work, it is shown that the presence of MS particles around larger MH particles, firstly, causes an augmentation of magnetic moments, which the MH particles acquire during initiation, and secondly, enhances the magnetic susceptibility and remanent magnetisation of MAEs-MC. These magnetic parameters are evaluated on the basis of the macroscopic magnetostatics from the experimental data of spatial scanning of the field over the space around MAEs-MC made in the shape of a spheroid. A set of samples with a fixed MH and varying MS volume contents that are initiated in two different fields, is used. The developed mesoscopic model of magnetic interactions between the MH and MS phases is able to explain the experimentally observed dependencies of the magnetic parameters on the concentration of the MS phase. The problem is solved numerically under the assumption that the elastic matrix of MAEs-MC is rigid, i.e. the mutual displacements of the particles are negligible. The model helps to elucidate the interaction of the magnetic phases and to establish that the MS phase plays thereby a dual role. On the one hand, the MS phase screens out the field acting inside MH particles, and on the other hand, it forms mesoscopic magnetic bridges between adjoining MH particles, which in turn enhance their field. The combined interplay of these contributions defines the resulting material properties of MAEs-MC on the macroscopic scale

peer reviewedThe COVID-19 pandemic continues to pose a substantial threat to human lives and is likely to do so for years to come. Despite the availability of vaccines, searching for efficient small-molecule drugs that are widely available, including in low- and middle-income countries, is an ongoing challenge. In this work, we report the results of an open science community effort, the "Billion molecules against Covid-19 challenge", to identify small-molecule inhibitors against SARS-CoV-2 or relevant human receptors. Participating teams used a wide variety of computational methods to screen a minimum of 1 billion virtual molecules against 6 protein targets. Overall, 31 teams participated, and they suggested a total of 639,024 molecules, which were subsequently ranked to find 'consensus compounds'. The organizing team coordinated with various contract research organizations (CROs) and collaborating institutions to synthesize and test 878 compounds for biological activity against proteases (Nsp5, Nsp3, TMPRSS2), nucleocapsid N, RdRP (only the Nsp12 domain), and (alpha) spike protein S. Overall, 27 compounds with weak inhibition/binding were experimentally identified by binding-, cleavage-, and/or viral suppression assays and are presented here. Open science approaches such as the one presented here contribute to the knowledge base of future drug discovery efforts in finding better SARS-CoV-2 treatments.R-AGR-3826 - COVID19-14715687-CovScreen (01/06/2020 - 31/01/2021) - GLAAB Enric

Ensuring accuracy of a prolozheniye of the leveling courses at research and carrying out of elevation marks of pickets at construction of highways is considered. Admissions, classes of leveling and length of the high-rise courses at their prolozheniye are provided lengthways or on the route at research and carrying out of elevation marks of pickets at construction of highways taking into account their categories, uses of sets of cars of keeping of elevation marks and coefficients of accuracy of technological processes when performing geodetic and construction works

Calculations of admissions for geodetic marking works taking into account the accuracy of their technological processes at researches and construction of highways are given. Calculations of admissions for geodetic control of elevation marks at the device of constructive layers of the bases and coverings of road clothes are executed. These calculations admissible values of amplitudes of elevation marks of surfaces of the bases and coverings were assumed as a basis. By an initial basis at calculations of admissions on detailed breakdown, carrying out of marks of pickets on the route of highways and a prolozheniye of the leveling courses on the route, are accepted, the tolerances of high-rise marks from the design regulated in normative documents

The permissible deviations (limiting errors) are given in the normative documents from the design values of the structural layers of the road clothes construction, but the accuracy standards are not separately for construction  and geodetic work in the construction of bases and coatings. The article  presents the differences in the allowable deviations’ values in SNiPs and in  their updated rules’ editions - codes of rules for the highways construction,  the differences in the sets of road vehicles with automatic and without  automatic systems of specified elevations, the steps of leveling in the design  and the finished construction layers’ acceptance of road clothes. The  discrepancy between the requirements in regulatory documents for the  highway construction, and the requirements in regulatory documents on  geodetic support for the accuracy of construction are shown. The  maintenance of the geodetic control of base unevenness construction and  cover surfaces during the IV and V of public roads’ construction and departmental ones with the road machines’ usage with automatic system of  holding elevations for different coefficients of constructing layers  technological processes in leveling through 5, 10 and 20 m. The values of the errors and maximum distances from  optical levels of the type H-3 are given  for the uneven ground and road surfaces’ dressing control. It is recommended in the research to perform geodetic control for base and cover devices using standard errors with confidence probabilities P = 0,90 and P = 0,95
